Bob is an experienced trial lawyer with a distinguished career. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has an extensive background in the practice of law. Bob has tried jury and bench trials involving commercial matters, construction contracts, insurance disputes, personal injuries, civil rights, wrongful death, products liability, and professional negligence. His trial practice has taken him to the courts of Arizona, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa. He has held the highest available peer-reviewed AV Preeminent rating for more than thirty years in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is listed in both The Best Lawyers in America and the Great Plains Super Lawyers non-peer-reviewed lists.
Bob is a past President of the Nebraska State Bar Association where he is affectionately known as the "father of Casemaker in Nebraska." Casemaker, an online legal research tool now supported by a consortium of state bar associations across the United States, has vastly reduced the cost of legal research.
Bob served as a member of the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Committee, the Constitutional Revision Committee, and as a member and Chair of the Nebraska Bar Commission. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the Creighton University School of Law teaching trial practice and as the Presiding Judge of the Nebraska Commission of Industrial Relations.
Bob is a Fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation and the American Bar Foundation. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1966 and from the Nebraska College of Law in 1968, where he was a member of the Nebraska Law Review.
